Inauguration of the construction of the shelter for the poor and celebration of the 5th year of Reach World Wide - the Charity wing of the Heavenly Feast. Reach World Wide, the Charity wing of the Heavenly Feast, celebrated the 5th year of existence by the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ on 30.11.2008 Sunday. Along with this celebration, the inauguration of the construction of the shelter for the poor was also conducted.

The political leaders from Kottayam were all attended and blessed the function with their presence. The programme started immediately after the worship in the panthal constructed for our 24 days fasting prayer at Sports Council Stadium. The function started with the National anthem and paying homage to the victims of terror attacks at Bombay. Dr. Mathew Kuruvilla (Tangu Brother) welcomed the gathering. In his welcome speech he narrated a brief history of the Reach World Wide and he told that we started it by faith. As Jesus is faithful we could achieve what you have seen now. The main driving force to move forward is the need of the people. We have initiated different projects to help people at the time of natural disasters like Tsunami and other occasions. When he visited one of the church members, he found the miserable condition of a family in which 5 member family staying in a single room. This stirred his heart and thus we took the initiative for the housing projects. All projects were started by faith. This project is also started by faith and we firmly believed that Lord will make it a great success. Then he welcomed each and every distinguished guest and appreciated them for finding time to attend this meeting in their busy schedule.

Shri V N Vasavan MLA in his felicitation address gave his greetings and all success to the housing project. He also added to act in unity in this time of the problem of terrorism in India. In his inaugural speech Shri Oommen Chandy, Hon'ble leader of Opposition of Kerala gave his blessings for the project and inaugurated the programme. The generator to the District Hospital was handed over to the District Medical Officer Dr. Benchamin by the the District Panchayat President Shri. K P Sugunan. Councilor Shri P.G Varghese, Shri. K.C Joseph M.L.A and Shri Anto Antony also participated and gave their best wishes for the project.

The programme was ended with the voted of thanks by Thomaskutty Brother.
